“I truly love getting to know new people, learning what is important to them and helping them achieve their full potential of everyday functioning after an injury or illness. I enjoy helping people understand my profession and still get a kick out of when I must explain that no, this therapy has nothing to do with helping you find a career!  As an occupational therapist, we help people regain or develop skills necessary to carry out our everyday tasks or “occupations”.  Since there are many different areas of occupations and each client has a unique set of abilities and values, every day is different. Whether it’s helping a client to increase upper body strength and coordination in order to help them improve independence with basic self-care tasks or training a client on adaptive equipment and modified techniques for improved mobility, my main goal is to help my clients improve their overall independence and quality of life… which can be pretty rewarding .”

“I truly love building relationships with my patients and their families, along with seeing them progress toward their goals.  I have worked in a variety of settings as a Speech Pathologist and this is the common thread that makes me love what I do.  I also enjoy helping people understand my role and in the many areas I can assist them from difficulty swallowing to cognitive difficulties.  Many people assume my role is only about helping others communicate, but it entails so much more that helps improve the quality of life for my patients.   I love working for Priority Rehab because it feels like we are family.   We enjoy working together to help our patients reach their goals and improve their quality of life.”

I have established a platform here that allows me to practice my communication and listening skills everyday. I love being surrounded by wisdom as well as having people that I genuinely consider as good friends now.
